Being and Nothingness

Whatever you leave behind stays
Legends leave behind legacies
Mere mortals memories
While rich leave behind inheritance
Poor their sheer absence
No one can control posterity
How one is perceived or loved
Or unloved, erased,
Distorted or forgotten
It is all uncertain
Yet we spend a lifetime
Stressing about our being
Mingling away with the nature
We shall cease to be
We form from nothingness
And we return to it formless
Life seems just a passing phase
Between the two states of non being!
